It's Not Always Black And White

Today, I decided to dip my toe in learning how to edit in black and white. I watched a couple videos and decided to apply what I had learnt on one of my old photographs. This dates back to late 2016, back when I had burnt my hair and the ombre/blond look began to turn to orange! Looking back on those memories and I can see I gave zero fucks about the way I looked.

Here I share both photos, color and black and white. What’s your favorite?

Reminiscing Osaka

I’m always amazed about how a change in perspective can completely modify my style of editing. Today I watched Evan Ranft video on how to make a picture appear cinematic. Besides taking shots in common cinematic angles, he demonstrated how he edits his photos and how important it is to use similar colors when split toning the image. Naturally, I went back to photos I have taken in Japan, particularly during my stay in the vibrant city of Osaka and tried to apply what I have learnt. Here’s the outcome. What do you think?

A day in London

Nothing like taking a weekend away in the lively city of London. My home away from home if I may say so myself. We ended up going on a food discovery tour designed by yours truly where we visited a couple of food markets and a few staple eateries. I would have gained a few pounds that day if it weren’t for our decisiveness to walk around the city instead of using public transport. Here are a couple of photos taken in Notting Hill. Can you guess what my favourite colour is?
